FAQ
Is this the official Scrabble dictionary?
No. It checks the public-domain ENABLE list, which most word games are based on. The official Scrabble dictionaries add some newer words (QI, ZA, OK and others) and drop a few, so for a tournament challenge use the game's own dictionary.
Why isn't a common word accepted?
Proper nouns, abbreviations, words with hyphens or apostrophes, and some recent slang are not in word-game lists. Plurals and verb forms usually are: if CAT is valid, CATS is too.
What are the suggestions?
Real words that are one change away from what you typed: one letter added, removed or changed, or two neighbouring letters swapped. That catches most typos.
